Two months!

It's been almost two months since I posted. I can't believe it's been that long. I haven't been doing much, because it's been really cold. I like that, but my Mom doesn't. I went to the groomer and got all my hair cut again. What a job--I was there for hours! I was so happy to get home, the first thing I did was run to the yard and roll on the grass. In fact, it's rainy here today and the yard's getting muddy, so I think I'll sneak away this morning and do that again.

I'm back...

Mom's really busy lately--she went back to school online, and it's taken a lot of her computer time. But, she still has time for tv (first things first!) and this clip from the Soup made her LOL...

I personally feel for Stains. If I had a plate of cupcakes under my nose like that, I would have grabbed them and run for the living room. I think he's a good boy.

"Fleas" Ano Nuevo!

Happy New Year! I was so excited last night--I got to go to a New Year's Eve Party. My friend Peg hosted it, and her house is dog friendly, so I got to go with Mom. My doggy friend Max was there, too. We had weinies at midnight with the two leggers. I was wondering when we'd get to eat them. I could smell them cooking all night.

That was my first time out since Cousin Morgan left on Tuesday afternoon. It was fun, but I was wiped out. This is me on Tuesday night.
I had a good snooze, and now I'm ready to take on 2009. Bring it on!

Happy Boxing Day!

We're not English, but I was too busy yesterday to post. Hope everyone had a happy holiday. Here's a picture of me waiting to open my gifts:

Then Bisket came along...

and he finally sat under the tree with me.
Cousin Morgan is here for a Christmas visit, and we went to the trail

Santa brought me some toys and lots of cookies. It was a fun day!

Hunting Season

Today's the first day of deer season in Pennsylvania. I can hear gunshots from my house, and even though there's a lot of lab in me, I'm gun shy. I'll be on the couch if you want me.

This is so embarassing....

Last night Mom decided to take me out on the leash because she smelled skunk. I don't know why she won't let me chase him out of the yard like I do the mailman, but people are funny. Anyway, she hooked the leash to my collar, and then decided to get a flash light. In the meantime, Bisket came along, and well...

...this happened. I'm being walked by a cat! The leash dragging on the floor was just too much for him to ignore, so he pounced. I tried to get away, but that made him even more determined to hold on to the leash. I finally just gave up and sat down until Mom came. I hope she doesn't decide to let him take me out. I'll be the laughing stock of the neighborhood...

Sunday nap

So, I settled down yesterday afternoon for a nap, and guess who decided to join me?

Annie. (That's her back end in the picture). Mom thought we were cute, and decided to take our picture.

That put an end to the nap. How do you sleep with cat butt in your nose and camera flashes in your eyes?

Hello

Hi, it's me, Rocky! I'm a black lab-collie mix, originally from Altoona, PA., I think. I'm a former shelter dog, and now I live in rural Central Pennsylvania with my Mom and kitty brother (Bisket) and kitty sister (Annie). Here are some pictures of us:

This is me:

Aren't I handsome? And this is Annie and Bisket:

Bisket's the yellow cat, and he's from the shelter, too. He's only been here a month, and Annie's not too crazy about him, but she's getting better. She still doesn't like it when he plays with her toys. This picture was taken after she caught him playing with her racetrack ball thingy. Believe me, she doesn't like it when you mess with her stuff. I like Bisket, though. He plays with my things sometimes, and I don't mind.

I live a kind of boring life--I sleep on the couch, go for walks on the local bike trail, and visit my doggy and human friends. I'm very friendly--I pretty much like everyone. I hope you'll like me, too!
